Start your Earth Day
celebrations with this fun-filled family event that brings together artists from
all forms to celebrate earth's beauty and protest environmental folly. In the
tradition of the jester (trickster, fool) with the role of being the conscience
of the leaders and using humour, skits and music as a way of communicating
truth, artists reach out.
2:00 p.m. Youth program.
Improv, music by TAPP band and other young musicians, art workshop sponsored by
Ottawa Art Gallery
7:00 p.m. A variety show, featuring David Chernushenko,
music by Glenn Nuotio, poetry readings by Pearl Pirie, Mike Buckthought, Heather
MacDonald and more, music and slam poetry by Nathana'l Larochette, skits and
monologues and that�s just the beginning.

April 1st to 22nd and Earth Day Party CPAWS | Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society From April 1 – April 22 our first ever Woodland Window Landscape will be on display at Wabi Sabi. Please take a moment to swing by the shop to view this amazing little fibre forest! A huge thank you to all of the many contributors - we are overwhelmed by the generosity and support of local artists & crafters for this project. On April 22, in celebration of Earth Day & our Woodland Window Landscape we are hosting a party at Wabi Sabi from 6 PM – 9 PM. We hope you are able to join us for a casual evening of mingling, music, refreshments, & fun in support of wilderness conservation in the Ottawa Valley! Party is free & open to all ages. ECO EXPO: Ottawa Healthy Living Show, Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, at the RA Centre (2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa). April 22 Earth Day at Ten Thousand VillagesApril 22, from 2 - 5 pm Earth Day with Kanata Haven Youth CentreClarence Maheral Park, 170 Castlefrank RoadThe Kanata Haven Youth Centre will be hosting our first annual "Music in the Park" concert to celebrate Earth Day 2011. This is a free, family friendly event and refreshments will be available for purchase. Live performances by local musicians Go Long (!), Open Sky & Plush Garden. In the event of unfriendly weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Lion Dick Brule Community Centre, located right beside the park.
