LEAF Forum - Leadership in Environmental Action Free Forum for high school students (April 20, 2011)

On April 20th 2011 High School Students are invited to a day-long Forum at the Canadian Museum of Nature, featuring a live Web Cast that will go out across the country and guest speakers still to be announced.The Forum will also include a museum gallery quiz, where students will have the chance to win a prize! Waste to Gold Contest

All ages Students are invited to submit pictures and descriptions of useful or decorative items constructed from "junk" that would be normally thrown away. There will be First, Second and Third Prizes for students up to grade 6. All winners and their teachers will receive the official 2011 Earth Day Ottawa Cloth bag containing surprise prizes.th Bag Design Contest

Grades 1 to 6
From all submissions, one design will be featured on the Official Earth Day Ottawa 2011 Cloth Bag. First, Second and Third prizes will be awarded.

April 21st - Gear up for Bike to Work Ottawa and recycle your gently used bike for Earth Day

EnviroCentre and Cycle Salvation are helping you get ready for the cycling season.

Celebrate Earth Week with a concert on April 21st!

On April 2ist 2010, celebrate the Earth Week with a concert with wine and cheese held at the Canadian Museum of Nature! Admission is free.

Children’s Concert and Award Show on April 22

From 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, come to enjoy a Children's Music performer, and cheer on award-winners from our contests. Concert will be held in the Queen's Lantern of the Canadian Museum of Nature! Admission is free.

LEAForum - Leadership in Environmental Action Forum (Action en faveur de l'environnement) pour les élèves d'écoles secondaires (20 avril 2011)

Le 20 avril, les élèves d'écoles secondaires sont invités à une séance de discussion d'une journée au Musée canadien de la nature, à laquelle participeront des conférenciers. Le forum comprend aussi un jeu-questionnaire sur les galeries du Musée qui offre aux élèves la chance de gagner un prix! Le samedi 22 avril 2011 est l’événement ultime de la Semaine de la Terre, avec un concert au Musée canadien de la nature!

Concours: De rebuts à lingots d'or
Les étudiants de tous âges sont invités à soumettre des photos de bricolages d’objets utiles ou décoratifs construits à partir de vieilleries qui seraient normalement jetées. Il y aura des prix pour la première, deuxième et troisième position pour les étudiants allant jusqu'à la 6e année. Tous les lauréats et leurs enseignants recevront le sac en tissu officiel du Jour de la Terre Ottawa 2011 contenant de nombreux prix surprise.

NOUVEAU EN 2011 : Un prix spécial sera offert par le Musée canadien de la nature pour les soumissions de plus de 6 années, adultes inclus.

Concours de dessin: Le design officiel pour un sac en tissu niveaux de 1ière à la 6e année.
De toutes les soumissions, un dessin ou modèle sera imprimé sur le sac en tissu officiel du Jour de la Terre Ottawa 2011. Un premier, deuxième et troisième prix sera attribué pendant la cérémonie de remise des prix le 22 avril.
